Aaron LaCrate, who calls himself the “Baltimore Gutter Milkcrate DJâ€, has been tearing up the decks since he was a street-wise ten year old playing parties in his rough and tumble hometown. LaCrate is now an established regular in the celebrity-laden New York club scene.
Along with his partner Mark Ronson, LaCrate runs the infamous NYC based YoYo parties which feature rough Baltimore-styled tunes and celebrity sightings while offering the best of the best in live and major talent of all genres from Lily Allen, Swizz Beatz, Jack Penate, Rakim, Cool Kids, Busy P, Estelle, Kid Cudi, Daniel Merriweather, Verb, Jim Jones, Debonair Sami and Dirt Nasty. LaCrate's party-rockin' sets include a mixture of house, hip-hop, ghetto-tech, electronic, grime, bass music and everything inbetween.
In addition to running YoYo and his own Milkcrate label, LaCrate is also Lily Allen’s touring DJ. He has also released a remix of Dizzee Rascal's "Pussyole" (2007), a Delicious Gutter Remixes 12" EP (featuring Young MC and Master Ace Incorporated) in 2008, as well as Wow That's What I Call Gutter Music, Vol. 1 (2007).
