After years of disputes with record producers for showing Baby Rasta preferential treatment, Gringo too decided to go it alone and see what could be accomplished on his own. Baby Rasta's first solo outing for Universal, La Ultima Risa debuted at number nine in the U.S. Generating radio successes like "Ay de Mi" and "Capturo," La Ultima Risa bodes well for Rasta as a developing voice in a very young genre.
