Funk Master Flex was born Aston George Taylor Jr. on August 5, 1968. He is one of the most popular hip hop DJs on Hot 97 radio station, New York whose rise to fame happened during the 1990s. Funk Master Flex is well-known within the urban community due to his mixtapes albums, the first of which The Mix Tape Volume 1: 60 Minutes of Funk was released in 1995. The 60 Minutes of Funk series included five albums, three of which were certified gold and it is famous for its unique blend of musical genres from Hip-Hop to DJ, Club/Dance and Hardcore Rap. His album, The Tunnel released in 1999 included the songs If I Get Locked Up Tonight and True and it featured great artists such as Eminem, Dr.Dre, Prodigy, and Eric Sermon, to mention only a few. In 2000 the DJ released Vibe Hits, followed by My Lifestyle in 2002. Three years later, in 2005 the DJ Funk Master Flex releases the mega-album Funkmaster Flex Car Show Tour that includes collaborations with the greatest names in rap: Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, 50 Cent, Xzibit, and many more.
