Jomar
His full name is Jomar Colón Reyes and he was born in Puerto Rico in 1979. When he was nine, he began singing with the Caguas Choir, thereby beginning his musical career. Surprisingly, he recorded his first album of pop ballads in that same year. By the time he turned eighteen, Jomar had already released four albums, two of them recorded with Domingo Quiñónez's band. Jomar felt particularly attracted to salsa. This style allowed him to be in touch with the audience and it was a genre that benefited singers like him, who can so easily improvise on stage. His first four albums are purely salsa. Jomar hid his passion for reggaeton, but in 2004 he released his first album where he began to perform this genre.
