Princess Superstar

Princess Superstar, born Concetta Kirschner in New York, is a one woman musical machine. She writes her own lyrics and music, produces, plays guitar, keyboard, drums and as well as DJs.

In 1994, she cut her first demo tape on a roommates' boyfriend's 4-track. The tape quickly won praise from the press who took to her unique lyrical flow and inventive sampling. Princess released her first LP 'Strictly Platinium' in 1995. She went on to found 'A Big Rich Major Label' in 1997, which she later renamed 'The Corrupt Conglomerate' after a big label merger in 1999. Her fifth LP 'My Machine' is an epic futuristic hip-hopera concept album – miles from the standard hip-hop formula.

Princess Superstar continues to play DJ sets around the world, bringing a style she describes as “a little bit ghetto, a little bit hippy, a little bit glamorous, a little bit ridiculous” to recent gigs in Belgrade, London ,Vienna, Barcelona, Dusseldorf , San Francisco and Denver.
